So, it's a snow day today and school was cancelled yesterday, today, and tomorrow. This is the first time this season that it snowed and it sticks to the ground here, in Central North Carolina, at least where I am.
A couple weeks ago, they actually cancelled school because it was cold, not because of snow, just because it was cold. The temperature that day was 10 degrees in the low end.
The weather service said that this snow storm was a different one than usual storms. Usually they come from the west towards the east. This time, it was opposite, east to west, so the eastern part of the state got more of the snow for once. A rain storm was coming from the southeast, and a cold front was coming from the northwest and met at the coast. I just find storms very interesting, especially if they are acting different than normal.

I like the snow, but I just don't like the cold weather. I'm definitely not used to it or prepared for it. Our cold weather clothes are just not enough. I couldn't stay out there very long because it was just freezing.
All winter, my 6 year old says to me that she wants to live somewhere where it snows. I tell her it does snow here, just maybe once or twice in a season, and not usually until January or February. I also tell her we wouldn't like it in a cold place because we like warm weather, we just prefer the summer. She didn't believe me or didn't care, she still wanted to live where it snows. Well today, she comes inside after playing in the snow, and she says she hates the snow cause there's nothing to do, and its too cold.

Last week, I was thinking that I was getting tired of it being cold, and wondered when it would start warming up. Monday was perfect. It was 60 degrees, but that was it. We had 1 day of warmer weather and then, on Tuesday, the temperature shot right back down.
Snow days are fun, but 1 snow day in a season is enough for me.
